[ It takes some sneaking, but Jesper will come back to his inn room one afternoon mid-December to find a small wrapped tin of loose-leaf tea that Sylvain had put together, a close mimicry of a blend from back home known simply as Fourspice Blend. I have maps of all the territories, all their cities. We've been making them over time, I've been looking for escape routes. The hard part is getting everyone who wants to leave out.

But if we can, there are parts of the Badlands that are livable. I know that because there are several bandit camps that are thriving and doing fine. They manage to get supplies and salvage, and it's maybe not a great cushy way of living like in the city, but they don't have to live by any of their rules either.

We're a group of smart, resourceful, talented people with more power than they know. I think we could make a go at making our own colony. It wouldn't be easy, but I don't think that should keep it from happening.
