The Summoned Fashion Store
CLICK ME, BABY
The Summoned Fashion Store is a creation by Jesper Fahey and Hilda Goneril when they decided to put their mutual love of fashion and unique gifts to the test. The store features clothing that is brightly colored, unique, fashionable, and more than a little dramatic. The designs are best suited to fancy parties or wanting to stand out, rather than pragmatic appearances. People can find dresses, skirts, tunics, coats, jewelry (both separate and attached to the clothes), hats, shoes, and colorful tights. Some of the designs are more modern appearing thanks to inspiration from Julie Lawry's Horizon closet.
People can ask for specialized designs that they prefer and work with the two of them on the looks. Friends can ask for more simplistic clothing to be made. Images below represent the vibe of the store, it is not necessarily a 1:1 use, and there are more designs at this pinterest.

JESPER'S HORIZON
General Info

Jesper's Horizon takes form in two very different types of locations that can easily be crossed over between. When you first walk in, you'll arrive at the front of the Crow Club. It is dark in there and smells of booze and desperation. Sometimes it sounds loud in there despite no one else being inside, like there's a whole lot of chatter coming from no where, but it's home to him. Jesper can often be found here either playing poker by himself, lounging in the area in the back, or at the bar. There are no locked doors.
Doors to other locations are highlighted in bright gold so people visiting will know where they can go. Jesper in the Crow Club is in his full gear, usually bright green suit, lime green shirt, his famous pistols at his belt, a hat on his head, and looking every bit the cocky criminal he used to be.
Once you step through to the cabin side, everything is in the day. It seems cozy and perfect for one person to have a nice living space. Here Jesper is more often dressed down in comfortable wear, still colorful but casual, with his guns nearby rather than on him. For people who know his friends, there are little symbols of them everywhere. Copies of Inej's daggers are left everywhere, versions of Kaz's cane he made, there's a smell of waffles permanently in the air for Nina, there is a flute and painting aisle to the side never used for Wylan, and there is a prominent painting of a wolf in the entrance of Jesper's cabin for Matthias.

THE CROW CLUB
Front entrance

The Crow Club is predominantly colored black. It has a black and crimson facade, a portico with black columns, and an oxidized silver crow with its wings spread above the entrance. The walls are coated in black lacquer and the floor is black walnut. The club's parlors, like most gambling halls in the Barrel, are windowless to prevent customers from observing the passage of time, leading them to spend more time there. In at least some of the private parlors, there are safes hidden behind one of the wall panels.
THE CROW CLUB
Front Room

The interior of the club consists of a main hall with card tables and the like and several private gambling parlors, garbed in black and red. There are normal tables where people can sit and drink and talk, often about corrupt or criminal plans. Everything within this club is private, except club owner Kaz Brekker is known to have his thumb on any business done within the walls. It sounds like chatter is everywhere even with no one in there.
THE CROW CLUB
Gambling tables

The card tables are circular and draped in crimson cloth decorated with a repeating pattern of black crows. The cards and dice are from Ketterdam, but if people visit, just by being there the games may change to reflect their own home and types of poker. They'll simply appear when someone sits down so they can play if they want. When it is a game that requires someone to deal, an NPC dealer from the Crow Club back home will simply appear and handle it.
THE CROW CLUB
The Bar

The bar at the Crow Club has a variety of different liquors and drinks, some cheap, some not, and plenty of glasses to go around. There are no chairs there, you have to lean on the bar or go to one of the tables. This is by design so people gamble rather than sit there. Depending on who comes into the space, their favorite liquors or drinks may just suddenly appear as an option.
THE CROW CLUB
Back Booth

In the very back of the club there is a sitting area that is usually held for Kaz Brekker and whoever he wants to be sitting with him. It's covered in red velvet and comfortable, although somewhat dim and dark like everywhere else in the place. There is a table and at least three chairs around it. Typically it is the meeting place for Kaz, Jesper, and Inej, although now most of the time it's empty here or it's just Jesper sitting.
THE CROW CLUB
Kaz's Bedroom

Despite the fact this is not Jesper's bedroom, it appears in there thanks to Jesper's attachment to his best friend. It has several stolen paintings in it, a simple bed, a set of mirrors, books, and a desk in the back. There is a back window that is always open. This does not suit Jesper in the least so to people who don't know, this would seem an unusual room for him. He has not changed a thing out of some odd reverence.
Jesper's Cabin
External

By leaving the main hall of the Crow Club using any exit that isn't the front door, you will arrive in a beautiful and luscious location that is completely unlike the club. Instead a simple but classic log cabin is in front of you It is always sunny outside and there are flowers and plants perfectly cultivated outside. Feel free to sit and enjoy the outdoors or walk to the house. The door to the cabin is permanently open for guests. It is medium-sized and perfect for one person to live in with extra space.
Jesper's Cabin
Living Space

Inside the wooden cabin is a nice spacious open space without really dividers of rooms, so it is one big room more or less. The bedroom is to the side with a nice big bed and an entertainment section right next to it with a television and video game consoles that his friends helped show him. Right next to it is a music room/section. Things keep being added as they go and he learns more about other worlds to add them in.
Jesper's Cabin
Music Room

To the side of the main living room/bedroom is the music section of the cabin. In there Jesper has a piano, a drum set, and a few guitars. He has soaked these in from his other CR and he has a jukebox in the corner as well, although it only has the same music as Dean's Roadhouse. There is a flute in the corner but it is not to be used.
Jesper's Cabin
Shooting Range

Jesper is a perfect marksman and he is very passionate about guns, so he has a range next to his cabin where people can come shoot safely. It's become an obstacle course of a sort. You can also pick up a bow and arrows and the targets will work just as well with those. There are revolvers and rifles with unlimited bullets for people to test out. He is more than happy to show people how to use them.

— BASICS —
— FIRST IMPRESSIONS —

APPEARANCE Jesper is around 6'3, very tall and thin and long-limbed. He has brown skin, brown hair, and vivid gray eyes. He has a very quick and warm smile and he is described as handsome, which he is very aware of. He also apparently "exudes pleasure" and "has perfect lips" according to Wylan. While he is only eighteen, he looks older thanks to having lived a fairly exciting life. He has a Dreg tattoo on his right forearm. He has a protection tattoo on his left arm thanks to Dean Winchester. He also has a gun on his bicep with the Wheel of Fortune symbol in the hilt and it glows. Post the AU, Jesper now has pointed Fey ears permanently.
CLOTHING Jesper likes wearing brightly colored clothing that should never actually go together, and yet he always manages to make it work. He likes looking dramatic and he enjoys being the center of attention, so he dresses to suit that. He really likes flashy coats and hats, anything that whooshes around him or looks cool. Most of the time he is in green. Jesper has two revolvers now that are always hanging at his hips.
DEMEANOR Jesper is warm, friendly, extroverted, charming, and highly energetic. He likes to chatter and he also listens attentively to other people. He has a way about him that often makes people think they've been friends for years even though they just met. He jokes and flirts and tries to make people laugh and enjoy their time with him. He literally flirts with everyone he meets, no matter what gender or age they are. He is the life of the party but gets distracted easily. There is a scattered element about him and also that he only seems to give away as much as he wants to. He can get someone's life story and they'll know just as much about him as he wants. He prefers to laugh off emotions or situations and can usually fill in the role as the comic relief or sidekick. In battle he is confident, fast, and deadly.
— SKILLS —
SHARPSHOOTER Jesper is a perfect shot. Literally. He never misses and he can pull off incredibly difficult shots with any kind of firearm. See magic below for the answer as to why. He is lethally fast with a gun too.
CONMAN Jesper's a criminal and expert liar, and he can play believable roles in order to con and distract others.
GAMBLER Jesper is an expert poker player with cards and dice and anything else that seems like a game. However, he has an inability to stop gambling, which means he inevitably begins to lose from taking more and more risks.
COMBATANT Jesper is a trained fighter as part of a lethal gang and he is good to have at your back in any fight. He's good at hand-to-hand combat and with most weapons, at least enough to stay alive.
DURAST Jesper has the Grisha ability to manipulate matter. This is most often seen in altering solids such as wood, glass, steel, silver, plants, stone, and anything similar. He can change a solid's shape, texture, or composition. He was untrained by over the months he has become much better at it. The bullet controlling ability still remains, as does his telekinesis-style matter pull. Jesper can see through illusions by feeling whether there is matter in front of him or not. His powers take on a transmutation type of look when he uses them.

Character Name: Jesper Fahey
Canon: Grishaverse - the books
Canon Point: The end of Crooked Kingdom
Background: Grisha Wiki
Suitability: Jesper comes from a fantasy world that is constantly on the political brink of war, has various factions going up against each other, and has similar technology level and magical (ish) people in it. So this really isn't that far off of what he already knows. Jesper is an extremely adaptable person who rolls with the punches and doesn't scare easily. He is a survivor and thinks on his feet, so he'll take the situation in (mostly) stride and try to figure out the smartest way to get ahead in this world. As a criminal and mercenary, he is willing to hitch his ride to anyone who pays him well, offers him things he wants, or seems like the safest bet ahead of him. He is able to take orders from others, he likes being the right-hand man or part of a gang, he isn't a born leader or take charge himself, which could be good for a faction looking for a new soldier.
While at first his loyalty will seem to move to whoever is the highest bidder or most useful, eventually Jesper does make connections with other people and starts making personal loyalties that can supersede his materialistic requirements. As someone who was deeply loyal to his gang, Jesper is looking for allies and friends, and he'd just really love it if that included money and safety as well. Jesper is very active, friendly, and he'll volunteer for any mission or event that could get him ahead whether it's by money or reputation. He hates sitting on his hands and staying still, so he'll want to get involved solely to not be bored. As a criminal, he would potentially be very helpful in sabotage/messing with another faction.
Because of his habit of getting very bored quickly, he could also be useful in general mercenary things like hunting monsters and exploring the world. He's a lethal combatant, especially with firearms, and a valuable team member when it comes to action. And he's an excellent team player with that in mind, often the person who covers for his gang with his guns or bails them out of conflict. So whatever faction wins his attention may find themselves with a helpful new fighter.
Powers: Jesper is a Fabrikator Grisha, that's in the Materialki order. Grisha are people who can use the "Small Science" to manipulate matter at its most basic form, and then utilize it in different ways. Durasts (what Jesper is) can manipulate glass, steel, metal, wood, plants, stone, and anything relatively solid. They can change a solid's shape, texture, or composition. They can call objects to them in a telekinetic way by reaching for the material. They are capable of absorbing injury from another person's body into their own, such as when Jesper's mother died pulling poison out of a child and absorbed too much of it herself. So this is possible, but it is dangerous.
Jesper is not well trained in his abilities, having intentionally pushed them down. He is able to trot out his powers to manipulate metal in a mission, and he is a phenomenal sharpshooter because of them. He wasn't aware that his mother trained him how to use the ability to manipulate bullets into hitting targets but it means he never misses. He can do things like bending bullets, ricocheting them off walls to hit people, or striking a target without having to look at it. He is coming around to trying to use his abilities more, but as it is, his abilities are either unconscious or used in specific ways, rather than him being experienced and well-trained in them.
Outside of that Jesper is a gambler (who usually loses) and a skilled con artist. He is an expert poker player and an expert hand-to-hand combatant. He has a fantastic poker face and he is very good at lying. He's had to survive on his own and then with his gang, and it requires skill and focus. He's definitely someone you want next to you in a brawl. Jesper uses specifically made pistols for him back home, but he is capable of using any firearm or firearm-adjacent weapon.
PERSONALITY QUESTIONS
Describe an important event in your character's life and how it impacted them.
Jesper's addiction to gambling, bad choices, and carelessness led to the Crows being ambushed on their way to the Ice Court before they even left on their mission. This attack put everyone's lives at risk and Inej was gravely injured, barely surviving the attack. This led everyone to be paranoid and uncertain who it was that sold them out to the competition. When Jesper realized that Kaz and Wylan made plans without telling him, he was shocked, but Kaz revealed it was because Jesper's big mouth was what nearly killed them all.
Because of his debts, Jesper was desperate to get money and save his father's farm (from his own mistakes), and since there were people breathing down his neck, he assured them he was about to leave the country for a job and get enough money to pay it all off. This mistake led to their competition Pekka Collins figuring out the Crows had a big payday coming, and he lay in wait for them to make a move. It was an accident but it filled Jesper with shame, heaped on top of him having lied to his father for years about dropping out of school, losing all their money, and becoming a criminal.
When he got a chance to apologize to Inej, she told him she didn't want an apology, she wanted him to promise not to keep making the same mistake. She pointed out that he had a wound inside of him that his addictions seemed to cure, but they didn't. After that Jesper stopped to consider his gambling and adrenaline addiction and was finally able to not only apologize to his father but confront him on the way he raised Jesper to be afraid of his Grisha abilities. Colm meant well, just like Jesper always means well, but it damaged him and kept damaging him the longer he was in denial about it.
Without that mistake, he would not have come to a better place accepting his flaws and his gifts and trying to change. He agreed to train in his powers and to quit gambling. Whether or not he can stay to those promises is still a question.
Does your character have a moral code, or other set of standards they try to live by?
Jesper is a criminal and his moral code is how bad he's willing to be and how bad the people around him will be. He's killed, he's schemed, he's stolen, but he does try not to hurt innocent people or bystanders. If someone is trying to kill him or anyone else, that's fair game, but he doesn't go around killing blindly. He'll also pick to shoot to hurt rather than kill if he can spare a life not worth taking. Maybe they're just working for the wrong people, and if he can shoot a leg or non-lethally, he will. He isn't bloodthirsty and never pushed by rage for violence.
Jesper is a very loyal person and considers the Dregs his family, so he is willing to do just about anything to protect them. If he kills people to protect them, he finds himself justified since they mean more to him than anyone else. He does not see crime as morally wrong simply for existing. Sometimes laws are wrong or people are trying to live, and he isn't going to play by rules simply because they exist. In Ketterdam and with the Dregs, crime was literally their business, but the city also was made for its gangs and that was the way of life. He wouldn't steal for the fun of it, there is always a reason, although the reason could be "I'm hungry and you won't miss it." Basically he likes to stay within the criminal line of 'will do crime but isn't a psychopath.'
He doesn't judge others frequently so his moral compass tends to be taking whatever is in front of him and deciding then and there if he thinks it's too bad or not. He is against harming children for any reason and he wouldn't kill in front of one, he wouldn't want to be responsible for trauma to one. That being said, as Kaz's right-hand man, he stood beside as his friend has made many questionably moral choices and went with it, including kidnapping a pregnant woman and planning on destabilizing their entire city to win their side. He is willing to work with people worse than him, and sometimes he does their dirty work.
Jesper knows that he is doing morally wrong things and that he is not a good person for doing them. He was raised by parents who were morally good and fair people, but knowing they would disapprove of his lifestyle hasn't stopped him from doing it. He is not under a delusion that crime is good and he doesn't think of himself as a good person. He thinks "right and wrong" are more like "mostly right and sometimes wrong." Morally gray is the sweet spot in his opinion.
What quality or qualities do they admire most?
Jesper likes fearless people who are brave and bold and not afraid to take action in their lives. They don't sit on the sidelines, they throw themselves into life with gusto and aren't afraid of conflict. He likes being around people who are warm, fun, reckless, wild, brilliant, and unique. He is a lively guy so people who can keep up with him and find a reason to laugh at anything are a preference. However, that's who he enjoys being around on the surface level, there is a deeper level of admiration in him.
Jesper admires people who are good-hearted and honest, who know who they are and who hold strong convictions. This shows in his deep respect for Inej and his romantic love for Wylan. They are both people who are deeply true to themselves and have strong beliefs and level heads. His parents were also that way, with his mother dying to help others and not regretting it. He often is sarcastic about people who are trusting, but he actually admires people who are willing to put their trust in others and believe the world is a better place than it is. It may not be smart, in his pessimistic mindset, but it means they believe in something.
Jesper himself is a forgiving person and he appreciates having people in his life who are forgiving of flaws and understanding of where people come from. He admires anyone who can overcome the worst side of themselves and becomes a better person through sheer force of will and action.
Do they have a part of themselves they dislike?
If you asked him directly, he'd say he's too good-looking and charming, those are his greatest weaknesses. But the truth is Jesper has a lot of self-hate, guilt, and fear. This stems first from his trauma of losing his mother and being told by his father to hide his powers as a Grisha. He was taught to fear and hide who he was and how to lie about himself. When a Grisha ignores their gift, their bodies punish them, much of the time it is by making them weak and sickly, but Jesper is lively and strong, so he thought it missed him entirely. However, the sickness from denying himself displayed in his addiction to gambling, adrenaline, and his inability to sit still. Instead of his body slowing down or drooping, it amps him up, makes his skin always feel like it's itching, has him seeking any kind of relief like a win from a hand of cards or a good fight.
This sickness has permeated his life and turned into self-loathing because he always saw it as him being weak and pathetic. His gambling addiction led him away from schooling, away from being the son his parents would have wanted, had him up to his ears in debt and losing his father's farm, and always being a loser instead of a winner. He was filled with despair at times because he couldn't seem to make himself stop even though he knew he should, wanting one more game, one more fight, one more thrill to soothe him.
He recently came to terms with his powers and his addiction and trying to be better, but there is a part of him that feels he will always end up failing the people he loves. He doesn't have a lot of faith in his ability to be stronger than his worst self, and that stays true today.
Jesper is also dishonest about how he feels about himself, often seeming arrogant and sure of himself, and he withholds a lot of personal information even from his closest friends. He didn't tell most of them about his powers and background despite being practically family, and he keeps most people at an emotional distance, pretending to be cavalier and fun-hearted only. He doesn't want anyone to see how vulnerable he truly is underneath.
What is their sign, and why? The Wheel of Fortune. Everything about this sign represents Jesper. He is a gambler, schemer, lives in the moment, loves adrenaline, impulsively makes decisions, and seizes the day, and he's always good at rolling with the punches and surviving trouble. He likes to see himself as a lovable scamp with some questionable morals. He gets bored easily and lives for adventure, but he's very opportunistic and changeable. No one would call him lucky though, but he sure likes to think that he is!
