Certain events make you wonder what's stopping certain people from seeing that somehow they all came to a similar end.

Perhaps less ritual carnivorous birds and more seeing them all dead.

No, they're secretive about it, probably because they know some of us would like to continue revenge plans.

If this place wasn't full of so much magic, I would risk assassination attempts, but they'd probably track me.

We need information. Even not on the building itself but on how they're treated, what happens to them, and we should look into demanding proof they're even there.

How do we know they didn't sacrifice one to release the rest?

What if I tried asking? As someone that was hurt by them, tortured, and just needs the peace of mind to know that they aren't pampered during their incarcerations.

I assume they tortured all of the prisoners for answers. Not that it means they gave any. Maybe the best move for us is to wait a little while so the attention is off us and then see who we can take out.

It's true, if they ate people someone would probably know. They'd have a reputation. Thorne seemed to be the only ruthless place, which isn't a surprise. I know most of the people there.

They need to have a certain kind of ruthlessness to be trapped all the time in a gilded cage. But you would have hated it. We would've immediately gotten in trouble trying to get you from Thorne.

I can't deny that. I don't do well caged.

So we'll get in trouble here then. Especially dealing with those that would cage us. Even if underground is less cage than dungeon.

It was serendipity that I came when I did because they let Inej cross over from Solvunn here. It was the only time they've allowed people to switch factions voluntarily.

I don't know her idea of the Summoned Faction could ever work. They'd keep kidnapping people even if it did.

You're not wrong. Even if they don't stop her, it will only encourage them.

We just have to determine if that should be a deterrent or not.
