I've done something like this before and you're right — it isn't easy. The maps will be very useful. We've the advantage of being able to communicate quickly and privately, and it seems many of the Summoned know one end of a sword from the other, but it may be wise to start by taking a small group out there to establish ourselves. I doubt the bandits will be pleased to have new neighbors show up all of a sudden.
Don't worry about the bandits, I'll just clear out a camp for us. I'll clean it up before we get any of our people in there.

Or we could scout out their success and design our own, whichever's easier. The point is that we need an option that isn't sitting in these damn territories waiting for them to decide how to use us or kill us. Too many people are just being compliant when they know we're tools for our captors. I get that it's not easy but neither is being stuck in an invisible cage for the rest of our lives. Well, or until we ascend into godhood.

Aye, most people are quite happy to be caged if there's a roof over their heads and food in their bellies, but some don't know how else to live, and some haven't got many other choices. We'll bring along the ones who want to leave, once we've sorted it, but it's going to be less than we'd like. Fine, fine. If anything we can learn from their set ups. The one camp I went into last year was very well put together, it was clearly functioning.

Maybe once we get something going and we prove that it's working being independent, more people will be inclined to join us. I know it's a big ask to take the chance without any proof of purchase, but we can't stay here forever. The Free Cities have already proven that we're tools for them, no matter how people have romanticized their lives here.
That's how it was for us at the Hideaway, aye. Once we have a place for people to go, the ones who see the truth of it all will be the first to join us, or establish sanctuaries of their own. After that, it'll be slow going... but we'll manage it one step at a time.
We were looking for information during the kidnapping last year. A group of bandits were assisting in taking people, although not the Summoned, but they'd brought a few of the humans so they knew part of what happened to them. We followed their lead to Aquila and I went diving into the ocean. Looks like they would transport people to Aquila on a boat and then off to the island. It was hard to track them because they'd do a few steps each time.
I'm glad someone gets it. I've been yelling this for a while. The Free Cities blackmailed me recently to get me to make things for them. They're only a few steps away from starting to use us more actively.
